5 Simple Ways to Stay Positive and Happy

Staying positive and happy is not an easy task. There is a few things you can try doing though to help you along the way.


1. Always make an effort to see the good and positive side in things. Though you can't control what is happening to you, you can control how you respond. 

2. Stay grateful! You have more than you think, and it is important to realize that even on a dark day, you still have a lot more than some people. Unfortunately our brain tend to focus more on what we don't have, so it is up to us to focus more on the good things. Make a choice to be grateful, make a gratitude list, count your blessings. You have more than you think!


3. Your surroundings can have an impact on your mood. Surround yourself with people that motivates you and inspires you. If possible, stay away from negative people who will drag you down. Reading positive affirmations, or books or even listening to some good music can help improve the mood.


4. Sleep! This might sound like a given, but a lot of people don't get enough sleep, and that can have an negative effect on your mood. Your body needs to recover from the long day, and sleep helps your mind to stay focus and also to be productive and happy.


5. Helping others. Being able to do good for others, and be of service can have a big impact on your happiness. Contributing to making life better for others, can also make you realize how fortunate you are. Pay it forward!
